I grew up in the heart of San Francisco to a family of artists, and was fortunate to have art instilled and encouraged in my life from an early age. I attended the San Francisco Waldorf School, and the School of the Arts High School where I graduated cum laude, and was awarded a generous scholarship to attend the Rhode Island School of Design, which had been my dream since I was thirteen. After graduating with a BFA in Illustration, I came back to San Francisco. I have since been working as a freelance artist, completing large custom designed paintings, murals and portraits for private homes in the Bay Area. I have also completed several assignments in Kona Hawaii.
Concurrently with my own projects, I have assisted other local artists and designers; I worked with artist David Campbell with decorative projects, including faux finishing, wood restoration, and murals; Mural Arts with a project for The Ceasars Casino; and Yangki Wallcoverings with the production of handmade wallcoverings sold in showrooms throughout the country. I work out of my studio in the Mission/Potrero area of San Francisco, and am in the beginning stages of illustrating a new book. I also teach a tenth grade drawing class at the San Francisco Waldorf School. |
